Mārtiņš Reitups is a newcomer to the scene and we are proud to introduce him to a broader audience. Mārtiņš is the type of skater who learns things fast and does tricks properly. He just turned 18 and we hope he will stay shreding for a long time.

How did filming for R.USH HOUR go?
Filming was interesting although I had some problems and no problems.
Spring came early this year which made February top 10 slightly problematic. On the one hand, dudes are skating outside and post top 10 worthy shit, on the other hand it is still winter and there are some indoor clips waiting for attention as well. So, it was a hard decision, but since it is a February top 10 we selected only winter related clips from indoors and etc. It already looks like March top will be more about outside skating, so this is probably the last indoor park related top 10 till next winter.
R.USH HOUR 2019 challenges Baltic skaters to film a part over a G-tiim skatepark in a span of one session. Normally the filming takes 3 – 4 hours and two people filming back to back. All participants are invited and hand-picked by RajonTV staff.
Second episode of R.USH HOUR focuses on Kaspars Gobiņš. Kaspars rides for Clockwise skate shop and represents his home town Ulbroka.

It was hard, park was crowded with scooter kids, got tired quickly, but overall it was good session. Shout out to Kristaps Jūdris for good vibes!
All die-hard RajonTV fans already know what R.USH HOUR is all about! For all of the new viewers, it is a video contest where we film short parts over at G-Tiim skatepark. Participants are hand-picked by RajonTV staff before the event starts. Last year we had 15 people of mostly Latvian origin, we had 2 Estonians and 2 Lithuanians too. This year the number of participants is planned to be a bit shorter, but we will see how it goes.
R.USH HOUR 2019 starts with Kristaps Judris. Legendary Imanta head and Borads.lv rider.

Almost a week ago, a mob of hungry skaters along with the barbarian crowd of spectators assaulted the premises of the Spot center. Their intent was simple – to witness the end of the five-month long soap opera called RajonTV Game of Skate Championship 2. The grand finale, of course, was the most important part of it all. Who will clash in final defining bloodshed? Who will end up victorious?
It all boiled down to the final two – Miks Grantiņš and Karlis Bogustovs. Both of them are capable of wining, and both deserve the title. However, there is only one champion possible!
To spice things up before the game maniacal Armands took on the role of Bruce Buffer and announced the living souls out of the finalists. No one expected the act and the crowd went berserk. Everyone was fired up and the game begun. What a night!
It is a satisfying feeling to wrap up a long project, and it is even more satisfying to see so much support from your peers. Huge shout out to everyone who helped and got involved in the project, especially in the finals night! You guys are the best!
Huge shout out to our charming sponsors too: Clockwise Skateshop, Tikari Skateshop and Commune DIY! These great folks supported the championship with rad prizes. They also support the whole skate scene, so show them some love. One last extra S/o to The Spot Center for letting us crash at their place!
Much love to Miks Grantiņš aka the Champ 2019!
Stay tuned for more RajonTV projects in the near future. We plan to have two follow-up posts regarding game of skate championship – Statistics and an Interview with Miks. And also R.USH HOUR 2019 is in the works!
The whole event turned out way better than we predicted. So many people and such a good energy! Huge shout out to everyone who participated, who showed up and who made some noise. Extra love to friends who helped out with equipment and extra hands, especially the following: Niklavs, Arturs, Toms, Armands, Miks, Kaspars G. and A., Marks and Nauris. Skateboarding in Latvia and in the Baltics is in the hands of the skaters, so if we want it to be rad and exciting, we can do it!
Huge shout out to our lovely sponsors too: Clockwise Skateshop, Tikari Skateshop and Commune DIY! These great folks supported the championship with rad prizes. They also support the whole scene, so show them some love. One last extra S/o to The Spot Center for letting us crash in the park!
The battle for the third place raged between Niklavs Vetra and Rudolfs Rorbahs, close allies that share a common home base (Clockwise skate shop). But atleast in this game the two could relax a just enjoy a friendly match.

Second game of the semi finals is between Nikalvs Vetra and Miks Grantiņš. Those two had a lively ongoing beef in insta stories and now they meet on the ring! Will Miks get his first letter? Let’s find out!
RajonTV GOS Championship is over and we are going to slowly post recap videos from all of the games.

Huge shout out to all participants of January top 10 contest! This month we collaborated with Temps Mort the best skate bag brand out there (not even slightly kidding here). Temps Mort bags are hand-made in Riga, and perfectly suit the needs of skateboarders living in colder weather zones, like all of us. Your board and shoes will be perfectly dry in this good-looking stylish bag. The product is made by skateboarders and for skateboarders, and Temps Mort is going to give one out for the best trick in this month top 10.
You guys worked hard and we have received a whole bunch of clips from you, actually way more than we have expected, so thank oyu all. Latvians were the most active, Estonians were active too, Siim Sild and Mikk Eeskivi both had double submissions which is sick (maybe they were submitting to the next month already). However, the ones who left us hanging were the Lithuanians. You guys are like too cool for this shit? Okay, okay we had some Lithuanianhomies, but, dudes didn’t follow the rules of submission: you had to tag @rajontv and @tempsmortskateboarding in you posts, next time do it right!
It was a bit hard to decided which tricks to include and which to leave out, but the committee has spoken, and here are the results.
Rajon Top 10 will continue next month as well, although, we don’t know exactly what are we going to give away for prizes, one thing is clear – if you want you tricks to appear, let us know by tagging or using the hash tag #rajontop10! Baltic skaters unite and take over!
