Some of our local heads might remember Skateboard CAFE from seeing their hardgoods in Riga. They are a board brand from Bristol, UK and have been putting out videos once a year for about four years now. CAFE’s videos have a what we’d call a minimalistic approach. There’s little to no broll, rarely any intros. There’s not a lot of extra visuals, however CAFE videos have a certain distinct vibe that’s constant throughout all four vids. We love watching these, and always look forward to what’s the next move Harry Ogilvie is going to pull at College Green. Bummer that this video didn’t have that. Anyway, a great new vid, check it out. Peace.
#rajonreport: Downrail Jam
Fricis’ had an idea to invite bladers, bmxers and skaters to session a huge handrail on a Thursday evening. An unorthodox idea to say the least. When dealing with Fricis, you need to switch off your biases and go with the man’s flow. Soon you will see that his ideas are brilliant. The whole thing turned into a sick show. Stuff like that is possible only in Riga.

See you in the streets.
Spider Sense
We filmed this after Madars’ and Deda’s game. It was getting dark, so we apologize for some shitty quality towards the end of the game. Despite all that, a great game with some unpredictable new spot choices.
First day of Autumn
It’s hard to stack clips these days for younger generations. Most clips are filmed on phones and are just one click away from getting posted. Our mate Ralfs from Cesis, although not without defeat, fought the posting temptation this whole summer. And what a better excuse to reveal your summer stacks, than the first day of autumn.
Prolifestyle
It is obvious that Madars has a big advantage in this game. He’s a pro ffs! However, Dimon Deda’s bag of tricks is notorious for unique, semi-legal gems like: fakie fs 360 shove-its and fakie fs bigspins, so there’s always a chance to get some letters.
Bring back the memories
Our collab T-shirts are available online at tikaristore.lv and in their physical store at Miera 4. Really stocked how it all turned out. See you in the streets.
Clip featuring: Edijs Plume, Ralfs Sermukslis, Patriks Sakovičs, Dimon Deda, Artis Strazdiņš.
Kicker Boss
We have a rule to use the Vans kicker one time per game. Fricis, being the ambassador of kickers and other skate aid tools, used the kicker almost in every go. He was jumping on a bunch of things that didn’t even require a kicker. On the contarary Rudik used his ledge abilities. Enjoy the game!
Stay tuned next week:
Madars Apse vs Dimon Deda
Niklavs Vetra vs Kristofers Ozols
Sting like a bee
It is not the first time Aleksis “ALIksis” Sokolovs and Artis Strazdiņš meet one on one in our events by the way. In 2020 during the game of skate championship Aleksis defeated Artis with the score 1:7. But back then Artis was just a humble kid in a Puma hat. He has since grown. His legs became stronger and mind more focused. Artis has become that puma from the hat. Aleksis also was not wasting time. His booze tolerance and knowledge of bars developed significantly. And so did his pop.
Soul Skater

A lil trip to Copenhagen and Malmo with Tikari skateshop pals. Six days away from home. It was like a vacation, but not the chillin’ at the beach kinda thing. We walked more than 100k steps a day. Trying to find our souls in these big city’s was no joke, especially with two bad knees and bad back. And Gaba asking to film this super soul line at the airport where I was barely able to bend down to get an ok angle. During every attempt I had to hold my breath and be as tense as possible so I wouldn’t let any sounds like Aaahhhhhhhh uuuuuhhhhhh. It was a mission. But we got the clip.

Thanks to everyone for the patience at the bank mission. We were there for more than an hour. I was acting like a lil immature soul. I wasn’t able to Soul in to the skinny ol’ bank. I was terrified for my well being. But you know how it is if you have it in your soul you got to find a way to let it go or just get it. Mind over body kinda thing. Gotta keep your soul satisfied and happy.

Spider also had a crazy soul mission. That took a lot out of his positive soul. He was trying a crazy NBB (NEVABIMBAM) heelflip variation. We even had to call 2021 SOTY for some tips. But even that didn’t help…. sometimes the soul is happy; sometimes the soul is not happy. That’s just how it is.

Eddy was just amazed by the free gifts that these cities provided. He was stoked. Just look at the amazing ss tre he was able to bust out in the last minute before the flight.

Artis was more kind of quiet but no doubt excited. He’s done some amazing stunts that the city of Copenhagen and Malmo wasn’t prepared for. He did them with a pure soul.

Arvids was the man during the whole trip whilst all of us were going on metro and being scared from the Metro cop (Metro ments) he was just chillin and thinking about them curved ledges. I noticed then that he has a real strong Soul.
You can’t forget about AG. He joined the trip just for the last 3 days and did something that I won’t ever forget. In Malmo we stayed right next to the massive “Oski” bowl. At midnight when everyone was kinda tired just cruising around the bowl or cruising in their comfy beds, AG appeared right next to the bowl and said “brings back memories”. Right after he drops in the bowl carves it like a Pro for a bit and busts out the most natural layback. It was pure soul magic. No one filmed it. No one expected it. It was a moment… let’s just leave it at that.

I wish to all of you soul skaters out there keep it skating and keep your soul happy.
PEACE
Barspin vs Trank!
For the second game of the Boss battle we got Edijs Plūme from the nihilistic Barspin skateboards crew and Marks Voronenko from the notorious Trank Boys gang. The two are a good match and potentially anyone can win. Enjoy the game.
Bracket Update. While cleaning the streets of our beloved city from scum, Armands Baumanis got an ankle injury. He will be substituted by the one and only Dimon Deda.
Next week:
Artis Strazdiņš vs Aleksis Sokolovs
Fricis Štrauss vs Rudolfs Rorbahs
